My car was damaged by hail in Nov 2012 and I lodged a claim with MiWay in Nov. They advised me to book the car with Rubicon panelbeaters, which I duly did and I got a December date for fixing. I then advised Miway to send the authorisation within 2 days. Sadly to say, they never did. I have been calling Miway and Rubicon as a middleman to get the problem fixed, though I am a client paying her hard earned money for insurance. Needless to say, I have been sent from pillar to post. Only today was I told by Rubicon that the authroisation has now been received, two months later and the car can only be fixed on the 2nd of April. I guess days at Miway are counted as months because 2days have been translated into 2months. I am utterly disgusted by Miway's deliberate disdain of their clients. They behave as if they are doing me a favour when the reverse is true. I think I am going to take up the R400 offered by some other reputable insurer if I switch to them.
