Suspended card without the option of updating Fica

Replacement card was delivered on 1 Sept 13. Courier accepted my ID and Proof of Residence. ( the very same format document which was submitted when the card was opened some 5 years ago and which was submitted with previous re - issues)

On 24 Sept 13 a payment rejected and ATM did not issue funds. It took the whole of 25 Sept for the call centre to advise the reason: Proof of Residence is now all of a sudden not in order according to compliance department. On 26 Sept 13 submitted an ameded proof of residence which clearly spelled out the physical address (as furnished by the body corporate of the complex where I live).

It is now more than 24 hours later and I have not had the courtesy of a reply. Needles to say the account which has a cash positive balance, is still suspended.

If the compliance dept all of a sudden decides to change its " rules " then surely it should warn clients that a previously accepted document will no longer be valid and afford the client the opportunity to comply before just suspending the account?

In my email I awarded the compliance officer my Annual Award for Rude and Incompetent Behaviour (honorary award without financial benefits)
