Cancelations and Interest

I am very disapointed at the services received from OLD Mutual, i have taken out an Edu Investment which i see today is a waste of time and my money. it generated no interest what so ever, even worse the investment was marketed by door to door agents which took my details and i never had to go to branch and supply infomation, the deductions are coming out everymonth from 2009 up till today WITHOUT any interest added on. when i want to cancel the policy to a better growing One. i am advised to go to OLD MUTUAL with proof certified id"s to proof that i am the right person. this really faces me because they are the ones deducting from my acocunt, EACH AND EVERY MONTH. I HAVE NEVER WENT TO OLD MUTUAL BRANCHES. everytihng was processed online. now since i want my money back they give me stories. Sending me from pillar to post. I do not have time to run around for as much as i never had time to even take the investment if i knew it was going to be such a mission. now i am being told that they will even penalise my money. i could have might as well saved under matterass mos?
