FNB did NOT help me! Besides 2 stale unresolved queries...
In August this year, I entered into a sale and handed the goods over to the buyer without waiting for the cheque to clear. After a few days I enquired in the Summerstrand branch why I was unable to withdraw money, & upon persistence managed to find out that the cheque was flagged as a. Furiously I asked why they never bothered to inform me about it as they have had suspicions for a few days already.
I then asked the consultant about the way forward and how they, FNB could assist customers in my position. The lady consulted with someone at the back and upon her return, gave me this response ..."we don't get involved" in situations like this. How is it that you can know of criminal activity on your customer's account and not inform him/her? Baffles my mind! I asked the lady about their slogan.."How can we help you". There I was, waiting for her to tell me HOW she can HELP me, but was bitterly disappointed! No reference to a structure/ service/ unit at FNB, banking sector, or SA law enforcement sectors... NOTHING!!! They were more prepared to help me close my account!! Pathetic! I suggest you change your slogan!
