Standard bank lists paid up accounts on ITC

Very simple,

I paid up (settled) my personal credit card account with STD bank in Nov 2012. In July 2013 it still did not reflect on ITC. I approached STD bank and I received an Email that STD apologizes and will close the account
Just now, when I got a credit report from transunion, I saw STD bank did list the account as closed and paid up, but, - listen to this - suddenly, they listed the account (closed and paid up) as 150 days in arrears from Aug??? What???

Last week I had the same issue with ABSA.

As a result I cannot get vehicle finance.

Bummer.
