I gave Standard Bank notice of a home loan cancellation and after the penalty period expired I received a statement outlining the cost to move the bond.

After numerous attempts to find out why they are charging us for "branch requirements" the answers I received is:
1. Go to any branch and ask them to write a letter? - This doesn't explain the charges!!!

2. The loan is with Standard Bank, but each branch can charge what they want to use the branch code for the application.

The call center can't assist and the lawyers get no joy from Standard Bank or their lawyers.

Please Steven Barker sort out your department's service and procedures.
This type of service (or rather the lack thereof) is why I want to "Move Forward" - away from Standard Bank.
