Unacceptable service!!!

I bought a Ford Ka from Standard Bank through vehicle finance worth R108 000 on the year 2007. I was placed on debt review at the end on the year 2008 for personal reasons of which I was able to comply entirely and pay as required. Fast track to the end of the year 2012, the car is almost paid off with the complete amount paid of R117 000 /-. I contact Standard Bank to get a final amount that is required to complete the payment, they respond by telling me that I have R280 000 STILL OUTSTANDING! I called numerous times thereafter trying to get assistance but the consultants are either rude, they pass the blame or they are just plain insensitive. I am told there is no other solution but to pay that ridiculous amount which is more than DOUBLE the worth of the car to begin with! I need to get clarity and assistance with this matter promptly as this is unacceptable!!!
