I was in a car accident on the 24 July 2013 and launched a claim with the insurance on the 25 July 2013 my insurance didn't respond on the matter for 7 weeks, when they responded on the 7th week the did not authorize for a further 2 weeks therefore had to pay installment on the car that they kept for one and half months with no reason, I was inconvenienced for 8 weeks without no valid reason and Clientel Legal said it was my fault I should have had extra cover although my car was kept for weeks without any reason and I was advised that if my insurance wanted they could take up to a year to decide if the will fix my car or not without giving me a reason why they are taking that long all I must do is take extra cover to make sure that I have another car for that duration. what is confusing is the insurance gives you a hired car for only 30 days because that is a normal time to process the claim and fix the car but my insurance took 8 weeks just to give authorization with no valid reason I reported this to Clientele and it took the 7 days to respond say it was not and emergency and Im still waiting for response if they will take this matter forward and I have been waiting for 7 days
