Settlement amount for Loan

Good Day,

I banked with Nedbank and took out a personal loan in 2009 and fell behind on my payments due to short-time in the recession stages globally. I have been in contact with them about my account if can make payments or not but now yesterday I called their call center and spoke to Ratanag and asked for a settlement amount. He told me about R24775.95 and on asking him for a special discount rate he point blankly refused and telling me its the system. Then was referred to a lady by the name of Celeste and explained that I only have a specific amount now and would like to settle and she was very much helpful. Because I just have R21000.00 and would settle it anytime if they agreed cause its a win-win for all parties. I thought bureaucracy and red tape in where the customer will like to close their account is key but the attitude of the agent Ratanang is what makes it even worse. I am looking to change banks but Nedbank is rather out on my list.
