I logged a claim to Outsurance for a broken fridge earlier this month. They sent through Starplex, their repairs service provide, who assessed the fridge and concluded that the thermostat had gone. A replacement one was authorised by Outsurance and replaced. A day later the fridge had become a freezer which damaged all my food. Starplex came through to attempt to sort out the problem. It persisted, I called them again. They came through and took the fridge with this time around. A day later it was brought back. But this time around it doesn't cool at all. I let them know and they come to a conclusion that the fridge cannot be repaired anymore and they will let Outsurance know. Yesterday, September 8th, I call Outsurance and they tell me that they will not replace the fridge because now the compressor is gone due to wear and tear. All of a sudden now that they can't fix the thermostat, it's the compressor that's causing the fridge not to work. Why wasn't it the compressor from the start. It's strange that when it's time to pay up a new problem which was never diagnosed in the more than four times they tried to repair the fridge exists.
