I upgraded my account with ABSA from savings to cheque account. On that day, the lady confirmed that all the debit orders had been moved to the new cheque account. I therefore udated my details with my employer so that my salary could be paid to the cheque account which did happen. However, some debit orders were not moved. Today, I find myself having to pay interest on all my account because of one individual (representative of ABSA) who didn`t act diligently in executing her duties. This is not the type of service that I expect from ABSA.a returned debit order while because of somebody`s carelessness is not something one should tolerate. ABSA should rectify this with immediate effect. This is not how you treat someone who has been your client since 2007.On Friday (30th august), I phoned their call centre to query this and I was given a number that does not exist which is really a cause for concern. I now have to pay three of my accounts with interest because of somebody`s mistake.this is not acceptable
