Last year Dec I took out a loan of R60 000, my payment commenced 31st of Jan 2013. I have made sure that I stick to the arrangement and making payments regularly. I have recently contacted them to find out how much I owe them as they don't send me any statements and I was shock to find out that there has not been much change in the amount owed after 8 payments. I was told that I still owe R52 000 and some change, I have tried to sort this matter by going directly to the branch which was useless, called the client service centre and I also did not get any answers, was just told I owe R140 000 and some change? I have wasted money and time calling them wanting to get answers about this problem and sorting out this matter. A warning to others, "DO NOT EVER TAKE OR ASK FOR A LOAN FROM AFRICAN BANK". I am in predicament right now as I don't know how to sort this problem out, I am distraught and despondent at this point. I don't know where to turn to and get help. im paying DOUBLE MY LOAN THAT I TOOK, HOW IS THIS EVEN ALLOWED? I cant even buy a car cause this loan is not going down and my new job requires one.
