Ungraded by bank, but still have to complete forms

Standard Bank informed us that our account had been upgraded to an Elite Account. When we called into the bank to collect our new credit cards, we asked about new cards for the Elite Account. We were advised that we had to go upstairs and complete forms so that we can be issued with the new cheque card. We went upstairs, and after about 3/4 hours left, as we we no closer to seeing a service rep. I find it totally unacceptable that even though they upgrade you, as you meet the requirements, you still need to go and complete forms.

To top it all off, when we collected our credit cards, (which no one notified us were ready for collection) one was a gold card and the other silver, even though they from the same account. When asked why, we just got a shrug of the shoulders. Even though we have been with Standard for over 30 years, I am seriously thinking of changing.
