I heard an advert on east coast radio about FNB offering a Samsung 4 mini for a discounted rate. I went to Gateway FNB. The consultant did not know about the promotion?!?! She phoned the 'smart phone promotion division' and handed the phone to me. The consultant on the phone also did not know about the deal?!?! She then told me that I can buy a Samsung 4 mini through FNB for R209/month for 24 months, but that I must buy pre-paid vouchers for airtime??? I walked out of FNB after telling the consultant that I would NEVER swop over from Standard bank as this 'deal' was NO INCENTIVE'!!
Why would I want to pay R209 for a Samsung when I can get it from MTN for R289/month, and then I get R200 FREE airtime every month!!! A FAR better deal than FNB is offering!!!
Consultants should KNOW what their bank is offering and they should be able to sell it!!! Both these consultants didn't have a clue! Secondly, FNB..offer a worthwhile reason to gain other banks' customers.. PLEASE!!!
