Awful service from the Absa Secunda branch! My platinum cheque card expired 30/05/2013 & till date I dont have a new card. I went into the Secunda branch in June requesting a new card. I am still waiting. I phoned Absa'sgeneral enquiries to follow up, I was reffered to 7 different departments & call centre agents before giving up because none of them could help me. I logged 2 complaints on their website the first was completely ignored still no one contacted me. With the second finally I received a response from the team leader of the credit card division. He was extremely polite & helpful. He contacted the Secunda branch and informed them of my complaint and gave me feedback that my private banker will contact me to help me further. My private banker phoned - Rebecca she had no idea what account I had and what card and knew nothing about me as a customer. She informed me that she cant help me a woman by the name of Jenny will call to help me. Jenny never phoned I had to phone Rebecca again to get Jenny's number. Jenny was rude told me she's busy with someone else she'll call me, I asked her when am I getting my card she just kept saying she'll call me. Im still waiting.
