Today I had to go to the bank 3 times as my banking account was frozen due to missing FICA details. First of all, the bank did not notify me that I was missing details and that they would freeze my account. I went to purchase petrol and was left red faced as my card got declined. Second of all, I went into the branch only to get the most pathetic customer service ever!!! I am disgusted by their behaviour. This is who you as a bank have servicing people? My money (MY MONEY) was kept from me because the bank did not do their job and notify me. They inconvenienced me and made a fool of me in front of people. I had no means of doing anything as I did not have access to my own money. Then when after speaking to the team leader at the bank and receiving attitude from her my money would only be available after 24hours. I am disgusted by how your customer facing consultants speak to people. She spoke down to me and one of my family members. What happened today is totally unacceptable. Standard Bank as a bank proved that they do not care about their customers. I will be sure to take my business to another bank.
