I have been with Alexander Forbes for over three years now. I have been paying my installments with no fail ever since I joined. In June I had an accident and claimed with them. They made me fill in the claims form and everything. I had to keep calling just to get feedback from them. It took them a month and a couple of weeks for them to tell me that they decline my claim due to a criminal record of driving above the limit. No one told me that it would affect my policy and that I should inform the insurance company after I had that. Now they say that they will not pay my claim since I have that record and I've been paying them since I got that, and they gladly accepted my money. I am unhappy about the fact that they use that record not to pay my claim when it has nothing to do with the accident. I requested a letter from them which states that my claim has been declined even that I cant get from them. Every time I call them, they tell me that the person who deals with my claim is not there and no one bothers to call and give me feedback. No where in their clause does it say that when I have a criminal record they will not pay my claim!
