Overcharging on Bond Cancellation

A few years ago we sold our house, We were told cancellation was R287521 to close the bond account, then the bank had lost the title deeds, when eventually the house had gone through the total bond cancellation amount came to R347343 how can this be fair? The atterneys are contacting me because they over paid by R59000 which they want me to pay back to them., I have been a standard bank client for years but am really thinking of changing banks as this is not right, it is not fair. please Standard Bank do the right thing this was for ERF 28 BUFFALO - bond acc 360782663
