Car finance application paused - Consultant absent

I made an online car finance application almost two weeks ago and it was provisionally approved. A consultant by the name of Kim phoned me and I have been liaising with her since. I explained to her that I will not be in town the following week and she phoned me on Thursday the 8th of August and we agreed that since I am not in town and Friday is a holiday I will send her all documents on Monday the 12th.
I tried phoning the 086 669 669 number and could not find Kim.
I went to send the documents from the Clearwater branch and only then the branch consultant was informed that Kim is not at work and they don't know when she'll coming back. I asked that my online application be cancelled so that I start a new branch application. The callcentre consultant told the branch consultant it can't be done, I have to wait for Kim to come back or they will "try" to get me another consultant whom they are not sure will be able to assist me today.
It just doesn't make sense why as a customer who has been with the bank for 10years, I have to be inconvenienced just so that an incompetent person still gets their commission. And I have to wait until whenever she gets back to be assisted. Appalled!!!
