Debit card not working at speed point machine

In July I got a job and decided to open an account with standard bank for my salary to be paid into, to my suprise when I try to pay with the card at the speed point it declines, then I went to your branch at bryanston mall and the guy who helped me was more interested in selling me a funeral policy than solving my problem. he was busy on the computer and I thought he was fixing the problem and he told me that the card has been activated i can now swipe at the speed point, I went to the garage this morning to put on petrol in my car and when they swiped the card it was declined, i had to go to the ATM to withdraw money. If this bank can explain to me why they advertise that you can swipe with your access account card but they know its not true. I am so angry I regret why I opened my account with standard bank, you are really dissapointing. all I need to know is what do I do for this useless card to work.
