On the 31 July, I requested a stop payment on Standard Bank Internet Banking. For this service I was charged a fee of R40. On 1 August, the debit order I instructed be stopped, was not, and as a result I exceeded my overdraft limit and the payment was returned. The bank than charged me a further R115 fee for unpaid item. So in total I suffered a loss of R165 because Standard Bank did not act as instructed. This is unacceptable.
