Iwyze won't cover my gyser damage

I filed a claim with Iwyze after they assessed the geyser and they said that the installation is not according to standard. The problem I have is that they did cover the geyser and I've been paying a premium every month for it.
Why did they cover it and then when they have to pay they're coming up with all these excuses and referring me to their policies. shouldn't they have done the assessment or asked me to send them documentation saying that everything is in order with the house and the geyser etc before they started deducting the premium.

I've since cancelled my policy with Iwzye thank you for taking my money for nothing.
