I've been with virgin insurance now for over a year, have not had any car related claims, I put my girlfriend on as an additional driver and my premium increased, she was involved in a bumper bash, I then informed them about it, on 9 July I got feedback saying that they are just waiting for the quote to repair, I mailed my Representative (Pride Blom) on 15 July, which they replied on 17 July where he stated that he was off sick and is going ahead with the processing, I mailed him on 29 July where I still have not received feedback, and he phoned me and explained that although she was the driver I have to pay an "additional excess fee" of R5000 and the repairs is just above R6100, my premium is -R950 so they are willing to pay a bit more than one month's premium, I then explained this not acceptable and he said he would let his manager phone me, well nobody phoned me as yet, and the car would not start this morning. This is very bad service, why do you have insurance that if you want to claim then they have stories, but they would take your money with joy and not give anything back
