TOWING NOT PAID

I had an accident on 13/6/2013. My vehicle towed a few kilometres away by a tow truck that arrived on the scene. As this was a Thursday evening, I notified the broker - Thor - of the accident and they sent a claim form late that afternoon. I was only able to send the claim form in on the next working day which was Tuesday 18/4/2013. I was then told that my vehicle was written off and I sent the relevant documentation through. I then received an agreement of loss where there was a deduction of R11286 for towing. Included in this amount was R4000 for 9 days storage. The broker was aware of where the vehicle was, so why is the storage being taken off my settlement. Regent just went ahead and paid this ridiculous amount to the tow yard without even notifying me of this or giving me the opportunity to negotiate the amount. They have prejudiced me by just paying it. I had no idea what the release fees where and I was never told until I received the agreement of loss. I feel this is very unfair and as a single mom I cannot afford to have this deducted off my settlement.
