Insurance is supposed to be for emergencies - but when the emergency finally happens you find out that your insurance company is happy to take a back seat. Suddenly my policy with Motor Xtender has maximum limits to certain work to be done. Clause 2.15 states "warped cylinder heads, cracked cylinder head..." etc. of twhich the going rate on repair is /- R 9 000.00... I am now told they cover to a max of R 2 500.00... and don't forget the R 500.00 charge. This means that I will be out of pocket R 7 000. The policy is misleading and gives a false sense of security... just so you can be assured of all the EXCLUSIONS...
