On the 19 June 2013 I changed my savings account to cheque account, and i was told by Standard Bank that they will transfer all my debit orders to the new account number. On the 19 July 2013 my salary was paid by my Employer and I was not able to access it. I went to the bank on the 22 July 2013 in the morning and I was informed that the money has not been cleared and that is why I was unable to get it, so they will clear it and give me a call after that, after I did not receive the call from them I decided to go back to the bank at 13H00 and it was only I said I am not going out of the bank without my money that i was helped. And eventually I received my money, since yesterday I have been getting calls from the debit orders because they did not get their monies its seems as if Standard Bank did not inform them about the new account. Another thing is that everytime I go to Standard Bank they ask me about the marriage certificate because on their system they have not changed my surname, I do not know how may times I have submitted this marriage certificate. Please help me, as I want to know who will pay the bank charges of the returned debit orders.
