Terrible service from Regent Insurance

I lodged an Insurance Claim with Regent Insurance on 5 June 2013. After making about 12 telephone calls to enquire about the status of my claim, I lodged a complaint with the Insurance Company on 19 June 2013 regarding the fact that nobody ever contacted me from the Company to keep me informed about the status of my claims.

I was referred to a Ms Karabo. Ms Karabo stated that the my claim had been approved and assigned to Durban Central Panel Beaters who will get in touch with me shortly.

One month later and nobody contacted me. On 19 July 2013, I called Ms Karabo and told her that I was extremely upset and told her that Regent did not even have the courtesy to telephone me even once in the past 6 weeks. I was doing all the calling. I threatened to go to Hello Peter. 5 minutes after the call to Ms Karabo, I received a call from a Ms Cathy from Durban Central Panel Beaters who informed me that they had not yet received any authorization from my claim. I am disgusted and still waiting. The Call Centre is a joke. The available options makes one run in circles.

After this, I will be moving back to Auto and General. A&G's service is par excellence. Real chalk and cheese.
