INTERRUPTING, UNFAIR PENALTY

Normally a magtape is sent to my bank acc a day before the day i requested for debit order to be taken from my acc. Automatically debit order will go through and i never had problems with my payments. I then rec an email on the 03/07/2013 and an sms stating that WONGA did not collect and i should make payments asap /call to make arrangement and i wouldn't be billed for extra charges since that the problem was a technical problem from WONGA SIDE. I then called and spoke Noreen who refused to give me her surname advised me that i have to pay immediately or the interests will be billed untill my payment date. I do not understand why i should be penalised because of the error from WONGA and the lady still gave me attitude telling me i should have called to confirm on debit order. I tried explaining that it is not always that i receive an sms saying thank you for payment and did not expect that wonga wouldnt have collected as i also had money till 02/07 in my acc. So if WONGA became aware of the glitch on the 25th why did anyone try not to contact me so i could MAKE MANUAL PAYMENT when i still had money. She was not even willing to listen kept interrupting me. Supervisor to call me
