Unable to stop debit order on a homeloan

My homeloan was paid up 4 months ago. Since then I asked homeloans for a paid up letter, so the stop order can be cancelled on my husband's salary as the monthly payment is paid directly from his salary to the homeloan. I was unable to get a letter from the homeloan department as no consultant informed me my flexi option would fall away if the stop order was cancelled. They informed me that I must sign a debit order, which I did. Then I was told the stop order can't be cancelled or else my homeloan option also falls away. Now a debit order is paid to my homeloan plus my husband's salary is still being deducted. I asked FNB Vredenburg branch today to stop the debit order as I understand that the flexi option will fall away if the stop order on my husband's salary is cancelled. They refused to help me to stop the debit order, which is paid to a homeloan with no balance as it is against the bank's rules to stop a debit order on a homeloan. I am also an employee at the FNB Vredenburg branch, but I am still a customer of FNB and I also deserve good customer service. It has been such a hassle to get any service from the homeloan department, that I have sympathy for any other FNB custome
