I drove through a pothole and damaged an alloy mag wheel. The rim cracked and i submitted a claim. On the 24 June i sent through all the required documentation (replacement quotation, letter from a specialist stating the damage and copy of my ID).
After me following up, I was told that they were only going to replace 1 wheel (no problem, you find it and i'll take it)
On 28th June (after me phoning again) I was asked for photos of the damaged wheel. Photos were send on the same day. On 1st July I was informed that the claim is approved, subject to me bringing them the damaged rims.
A response email was immediately sent with the following concerns :
1 How do i get the rims there with no wheels on my vehicle
2 on whose expense is the items transported
Or does this mean that i'll have to replace the items out of my pocket and then once i play courier, do i get my money back
My solution, send your representative on a weekend day, we'll go get the rims replaced together and then he can play courier for his employer or alternative, pay me the quote and sent a courier to collect the damaged items.
