Auto & General slapped me with a 22% premium increase from one month to the next, claiming it was due to the rise in hail damage on vehicles. First of all I live in an area not affected by hail nor have I ever made any claims in that regard, ever. I was on my way to find a new insurance company but a phonecall to A&G whilst processing a current vandalism claim got me through to Sharon and she organised a discount so now my premium has increased by only about 5%. So, thank you to Sharon... no thank you to the guys at the top who feel justified in whacking on 22% increases.
