CLaim rejected because of Uncertainty!

My Persian Tabriz rug was rolled up and was standing upright. THe heater caught alight and burnt down the rug. The rug measured 3*2.IT was rolled and not spread out therefore it so easily burnt within minutes. THere was no need to call the brigade as I managed to put it off, but it still burnt beyond recognition. THe only thing I am claiming for is the rug. MY shoes and jeans also burnt but I can easily replace that. WHen the assessor came, I showed him the burnt down sample, and even though it was quite black I pointed out the ridges to him clearly indicating that it belonged to the underside of therug. NOw auto and general wants to reject the claim on the bass that THEY ARE UNSURE THAT IT IS PART OF THE RUG! THe fact that they are unsure is not fair basis to reject the claim and this can be easily contested in a court of law with the court ruling being in my favour. I Expect more professionalism than that and am willing to expose them in the media. THe ball is in your court.
