Careful when requesting a quote

I phoned the Outsurance to request a quote on car insurance, as I was looking at what the total cost would be for both the instalment and insurance. The call centre agent went through a lot of questions and then requested my banking details. Thinking that it was part of the process I released these. That was my fatal mistake! Yesterday my account was debited for a premium by Outsurance. The funny thing is that a) I did not get the car b) they have no details that would affect a policy eg registration number, chassis number etc.

Whilst they have agreed to refund the premium, its telephone calls, bank statements that takes time.

So be very careful when dealing with Outsurance, a simple quote can become a policy at a blink of an eye.

I must say I am left very disappointed.
