If there's a service award for making a bad situation worse it should definitely go to MiWay. After having my window smashed while on holiday in Mozambique I phoned MiWay to lodge the claim. The window had been broken and my iPod and iTrip had been, along with some cash. I knew the cash couldn't be claimed for but I was at least relieved to know that I could get a replacement iPod and iTrip. The MiWay operator, who did not seem very knowledgable or efficient, asking me for info that was already in front of her, then informed me that I was not covered for anything in the car as I had not specified it... although I hadn't been asked to do so. My iPod is ALWAYS in my car, and as someone who's had a vehicle before I know how costly it can be to replace everything and cannot imagine that I would not have specified it if I had been asked to. I just find it strange that I am paying quite a lot for both car and household insurance, but when I actually do need it the cover is only a portion of what I thought I was paying for. I think it may be time to start shopping around - and definitely warning my friends and family.
