I am an FNB client and have been for years. 3-4 months ago I upgraded my accounts to be a Gold Cheque Account holder. Along with ebucks and fuel rewards, I was excited that I would be able to get smart phones/notebooks etc at discounted rates. The advert for the Samsung S4 stated: R299.00 a month (24 months) with 100sms's, 100 minutes, 100mb data and additional 1G data. I was very excited to get mine. When I finally got it (after 3 weeks of waiting), I didn't get a sim card. When I enquired I got told it is because I was an exsisting client so didn't qualify: only new clients get all the additions. I ask you: how can you sell me a phone without a sim card... IS THAT EVEN A PHONE THEN? And why was it not made EXCEPTIONALLY clear that you ONLY get the device and NO sim card? I could have gone to Vodacom/Cell C and got the same deal, with the phone, for R299.00. Why do old, loyal clients get penalised by paying the same price for half the "additions" that new clients get? I think FNB can come fetch their "device" and I will move to another bank because I don't appreciate being taken for a fool after many years of giving them my business!!
