Let me start by saying during the course of my policy I have had nothing but GREAT things to say about Virgin and its various entities in South Africa and have ALWAYS recommended to many people as possible who HAVE in-turn switched to Virgin for car and personal insurance.
My girlfriend has a policy with Virgin and recently had an unfortunate accident with her car and is now not drivable at all. It is currently awaiting spares at the panel beaters which understandably is out of Virgins Control and most probably the panel beaters also.
She received an SMS telling her that even though having waited over 3 weeks, we are now to wait ANOTHER 3 weeks for the rest of the spares to arrive and 3 weeks to be fitted, 9 weeks without a vehicle, Now even if She had the courtesy car option on her cover this would only cover her for maximum 30 days. Courtesy cars are free in the UK for the whole duration.
After many calls and arguing with the call Centre, they finally said and I quote Clifton "Its not my fault you bought a Peugeot" who then put me on hold abruptly for over 35 mins and eventually Hung up.
What happened to no fuss insurance?
