PLEASE NEVER EVER USE BIDVEST CURRENCY CARD WHEN TRAVELLING INTERNATIONALLY!!! We went online was impressed by Bidvest and thought it would be safe and easy to use seeing that the the call centre is 24/7. Yes the call centre reply to our emails and that's all they can do when it comes to refund our money cause our card was swiped twice nothing happened neither the call centre agent nor her manager could manage to refund our money we are flying back to South Africa tomorrow and the problem still has not been resolved. Rather take cash or use your own bank card to withdraw cash. I had to use my Fnb card which worked perfectly. And when ever I needed help Fnb was more than willing to help. I think Bidvest does not have a clue what they are doing the hotel manager was off duty Bidvest requested a letter from the Manager on a letter head confirming that they and the bank transferred the money back to Bidvest which was done. And then the Manager believe it or not could not read or understand the amount it clearly states Cny 4096 this has been done numerous times a manager of a call centre and you can't read maybe we should type out the amount in words. 1st & last time for Bidvest!
