Unprofessional or just plain incompetent?

In January my girlfriend decided to buy a car & had to apply for car finance.
We decided on a friend's car which was a fairly new and reputable. This would have to be done as a private sale.

Poor service, conflicting finance options between consultants, no feedback (ever), one declined application due to staff incompetence, 2 approved but incorrect applications due to staff incompetence and no willingness to rectify any of the issues proves to be very frustrating seeing that we are now sitting at four months after our initial inquiry into private vehicle finance with Standard Bank.

We have to keep begging for information and feedback, dealing with a new person time after time and no one is willing to take responsibility or at least sort things out for us. Instead they blame-shift to ' the system', their 'superiors' or 'head-office'.

We find ourselves in situation where we are being ignored and when requesting feedback being bullied into using a vehicle finance company when we want private finance as well as being offered everything we did not want in the first place. I will never recommend anyone to make use of Standard Bank if this is the type of service they represent.
