3 Weeks after applying for Student loan - no news!

I applied for an ABSA student loan for my daughter 25 May 2013. Due to a problem that I have with MTN that had affected my credit rating (it had since been resolved through Hello Peter intervention) a friend agreed to sign surety. His ID got lost many years ago and the bank had to undertake additional security precautions that delayed the process. More than a week and several phone calls later that involved a manager from a different section finally saw some action as the consultant just did not give any feedback. Finally he processed the application. Another week and a half later, numerous daily phone calls and promises by Jerry to call me back nothing happened until I made a threats of reporting the matter on 14 June only to be told that the income and expense statement had to be resent. Jerry assured me that he will have an answer for me by 3.30 pm on 14 June 2013. Guess what, No Jerry and when I called the bank at 3.30 he had already gone home. The service made me realise that the it is probably time I change my banker. I am very unhappy about the absolute lack of service and empty promises I received from ABSA as they just do not reply or bother giving any feedback!
