I joined hospital plan with Chartis Life and was paying a premium of R430 pm. My daughter was also covered on this plan and she was admitted in hospital for 4 days. The agreement was that they will pay R1300 per day in hospital. They only paid out R2600 and refused to pay the other balance. I made the follow up with them and was told the nature of sickness did not allow my daughter to be in hospital for 4 days. They requested further reports from the doctor and they were provided. But they still refused to pay.
What they are doing is very unprofessional and unfair. They lure clients with. My daughter was in hospital for 4 days and you have the doctor's reports. Why did you not pay the money as agreed?
