CONFUSED ABOUT LOAN ACCOUNTS

I am very confused! for a few months now i have been sick and couldnt afford to pay my monthly installments on my (2) personal loan accounts. i was handed over to the attorneys REPCO and RL DAILYS. when i eventually phone them to make a arrangement they told me its been brought back to standard bank i must phone them. i phoned them the one lady jackie assisted me told me the loans has been paid off i can just go and collect a paid up letter when i phone today they say it arent i must make arrangements? Please assist me in this matter because according to standard bank i dont owe anything?
