UNAUTHORISED DEDUCTION FROM ACCOUNT

My husband has been in the possession of the Priority Pass card for many years. He barely utilizes this service. However, we travelled overseas recently and made use of the various Priority Pass Lounges. When he initially received this card he was told that he had access to 10 free visits per year. On checking his account last week an amount of R1667 _ was deducted without prior notification, statement or even telephone call. I think this is absolutely abominable. How dare ABSA just instruct a debit order to come off.what gives them the right. He was well within his rights to use the Priority Pass card. Needless to say we have tried unsuccessfully to get this issue resolved and have spent several hours phoning the ABSA call centre, the branch, the usual response being " we will get back to you" he is still waiting for a reply. What would have happened if there was no money in the account??? My husband has been an ABSA client for over 25 years. Having all our various accounts with ABSA. However, after an incident like this perhaps we should consider changing to another bank!!! I would really appreciate it, if this complaint could be sorted out as a matter of urgency.
