Listed on ITC in erro

RCS listed me with ITC but they have never sent me any letters or informed me of a overdue balance and I have never had an RCS card. When I phoned ITC they say I am listed because my last payment was 8 months ago. When I phone RCS the woment tells me that the card was opened in 2006? This is not my account in the first place but regardless this debt is prescribed it is 7 years later and I have NEVER had an RCS card. When phoning to get them to sort out my credit rating I am told that I will have to go get an affiadvit and a copy of my ID certified and send it through to them? How can they list people without having the correct information? Surely you should have proof and signed paperwork before you just go ahead and list somebody?
