DEFAMATION

I received an initial sms during the course of last year stating that i owed a specified amount. I then settled the account and sent of the proof of payment numerous times and when i called to follow up it was apparently never received. I then mailed and faxed it again and everything was fine for about 2-3 months and now i am being harassed again for the same thing and the accounts was paid and continuously get sums stating that legal action will be taken. I am sick of the lack of competence from this company and their systems and in addition to this their call centre staff is rude and stupid and the cherry on the top is that there is never any supervisors/managers available... Can they locate the funds settled and allocate it to my account so that the sms's can stop already?
