Why must it get to this? Name & Shame? I am a the third party claiming. Your client knocked my car on the 15th April 2013. Until today (06/06/2013) the process still has not been finalised. When I questioned the time taken, the response was: "you are not the primary insured, but the third party claiming."
After much frustration and irritation, I was told that my quote to fix my car was R16k (approx) and that this is the amount i would be paid out. When I queried car hire, I was asked to provide the quote, which I did. I was told that they would get a proposal to me straight away and I should sign and return it asap. I waited for a week only to find out that the person dealing with the claim went on leave. On making contact again I found things had changed. Now they have written my car off and are offering me R7K (approx). I have sent a letter refusing this offer (29th May) requesting an alternative, to which I have had no response.

Be late on your payment, you're in, but it's normal for outsurance to take more than a month to settle a claim, why? Never mind how it makes me feel driving a damaged car and being made the laughing stock of a high school with 1000 boys
