Failure to cancel insurance

I cancelled my idirect policy on 14th May 2013 and got no response. On 26th May I emailed again stating the car that was insured was sold and I had cancelled my insurance. Still no response. But they went ahead to deduct the full premium at the beginning of June. Idirect's customer service is terrible and the only time I get a response is to put it on hellopeter.
