HI Peter. As you've notice by now, I really don't have anything good to say about Standard Bank at all, and I mean it! Here I am, proud that I've finally managed to finish my balance on the lump sum they agreed to finance and 5 months earlier than agreed and what do I get for being a model customer? A slap in the face. I've build up an advance of about R3000, of which I instructed them last week to deduct the final instalment of about R2000 and then reimburse be with the balance. The consultant assured me it's all in order, it will take about 2 working days and afterall, I do need that R1500 which is legally mine. When I called today to enquire when the transaction will transmit and my account be closed off, they can't do that cause I must first pay R557.82 to bring the account up to date. Even the consultant could not explain the reason behind it, yet I was assured it will be completed. That's the reward you get for being honest and reliable for years. Such amateurs and dishonesty I don't wish onto anyone, it's a disgrace, to say the least!!!
