I had a car accident in January 2013. A driver hit the back of my car in Kloof St Cape Town and admitted in the police report that the accident was her fault - she put her foot on the accelerator instead of the brake. I took a full three months for my car to be repaired and returned to me as Huyndai back bumper had to be imported from Korea. I paid the R2750 excess required. I have sent at least 10 emails to IWYZE with NO response whatsoever. The have their money so NO REPSONSE. I was told that they need the police report to claim from the guilty party - this was submitted in early February. I have had absolutely no feedback by telephone or email even though I repeatedly asked when they are claiming my excess back. When I cancelled my debit order they were quick to respond asking for the money. I cancelled my policy by email - also no response. THIS IS THE WORST SERVICE FROM AN INSURER I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS. Automatic emails are sent acknowledging receipt of my mails and then NOTHING. I would like someone at Iwyze to have the decency to contact me via email and let me know what is happening with the claim against the third party and my cancellation of policy.
