I opened an account on FNB's internet banking profile, however the account doesn't quite suite our needs.
I tried to close this account via the contact centre and kept being told I need to go to a branch with my ID and proof of residence to cancel the account.
No transactions has gone through the account since it's only been open 15 days, it's basically a "shell".
For an "keeping up with the times" attitude/advert from the bank, this is completely unacceptable!
Thanks for being completely terrible at assisting your customers and trying to make banking easier.
Now I will have to go stand in a long queue just to close this account. I can almost foresee issues when I get there...
