Too Much Red Tape?

Hi guys,

It grieves me, somewhat, to have to come to Hello Peter to make my "voice" heard regarding an issue I have experienced with Standard Bank when trying to get foreign exchange funds cleared for a client of mine. The process has taken over a week, resulting in us providing a less-than-average service from my company, due to the huge amounts of red tape involved in trying to have an overseas payment cleared into our account.

Basically, your new system was not communicated to us clearly. The result being that I had to have my shipping agent get in touch with the bank to summarise the situation for me, which he has done.

The process of clearing incoming foreign funds seems to be very user non-friendly. Just a heads-up! The old BOP Form system was also a 'schlep', but seemed to be easier.
